The annual Mud and Saltwater Short Film Fest will be premiered in the Shinju Matsuri Festival at Sun Pictures in Broome in September 2019.
Filmmakers of any level are encouraged to submit a short film up to five minutes in length. To submit short films use www.filmfreeway.com (link button below).
All short films MUST have subject matter that relates to ROEBUCK BAY (Western Australia) or KIMBERLEY WA.
The opening date for film submissions is March 2019.
If your short film is selected for inclusion in the Film Fest, it may also be screened at a later stage in Broome and other locations in the Kimberley region.
If you’re not having people sign release forms, it’s only a matter of time before you’re removing your favorite shot from the film because a parent doesn’t want their child’s face on Vimeo. And rightfully so — would you want footage of yourself being used without first getting the opportunity to officially say “yes, I’m cool with it.”
Messy scenarios can come your way if you don’t have everyone in your films signing the appropriate release form. Be respectful and get your talent to sign release forms every time.
Once you get that down… it’ll be like old hat, and getting all your releases in order won’t even be much of a thought!
